Will you be taking the portraits?

Yes. I own Coastal Reflections Photography. I will make the arrangements when and where to meet with you and I will be behind the camera.

How long does a beach portrait session take?

A portrait session usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour. We will work together and fit your schedule, preferably in the early morning or at sunset when the lighting is the most complimentary.

How many photos do you take?

That depends on how many people are involved. I will compose 3 or 4 poses with your family group or couple. We'll talk about what you are looking for as a final product. Do you want one big group shot? Individuals? Couples? We'll work that out ahead of time.

What should we wear for our beach portrait?

The classic look is shot with white tops and khaki bottoms or white with denim. Black tops with khaki or denim bottoms will work as well. Strong colors and prints takes away from the real subject (you) and the background (the beach) so the photo looks best if everyone selects the same color combination.

Any other suggestions?

Try not to get a sunburn. It's good to have a little color but a burn looks as painful as it can be.

Have fun with the shoot. Relax. It makes a big difference if you relax.

Where do we shoot the beach portraits?

I'll work with you on the Emerald Coast location. I can come to where you are staying or we can meet at a location that I am sure will work for you. I know some wonderful places that will make a dreamy backdrop for your vacation memories.

When do we see our portraits?

You will see your photos within a week of the session.
